ABOUT

With over two decades of experience in the music industry, Inal Bilsel has gained a notable reputation for his solo career and collaborations. A multifaceted and award-winning composer, Inal Bilsel’s work sits at the crossroads of music and visual arts. His orchestral works have been performed by the London Symphony Orchestra. As a performing artist, he took the stage at prestigious festivals such as Sonar Istanbul (TR), Buffer Fringe (CY), Fengaros (CY), and dozens of other music or arts festivals, including exhibitions. His broad spectrum of interests and output includes electronic, classical, contemporary, film, and experimental music.

Inal has developed a personal universe that borrows elements from science fiction, nostalgia, and hauntology. This ‘storworld’ informs most of his creative output and integrates deeply with other forms of media. In his second album, Paradise Lost (2018), Inal further elaborates on this world, culminating his entire musical and artistic experience into a transmedia narrative.

Inal Bilsel is an Epic Istanbul (Sony Music Turkey) artist. He is also a scholar in academic institutions. After completing his PhD in music composition at Royal Holloway, he was appointed head of the Sound Arts and Design Department at ARUCAD. He has previously taught at Eastern Mediterranean University and PERA school of contemporary dance.
